Following an extended, resilient build-up, the 6th of April might have marked an acute transmutation in the paths of many Sudanese individuals. An uprising that shakes profoundly ambitions, sentiments, and prospects.
A crude collective act of resistance and revolution manifests in a sit-in. I would describe it, as a centralized miniature of a fragile, diverse, wounded nation. In a state of breakthrough and skepticism.
I march and chant in anguish, one I do not necessarily manage to explain. Fear and doubt fade in and out. Yet, how do I resist; every time two processions fuse, I get the sensation that the revolution is boundless and we are the resistance.
Immersed yet mere, the series “Somos la Resistencia” is a premeditative testimony of the Sudanese uprising. An invested gaze into the collective kernel of a revolutionary act that happened to change my life.
